Qlooq — macOS QuickLook Extension · Effective March 8, 2026
Qlooq is a macOS QuickLook Extension that provides previews for file formats not natively supported by the system. We are committed to respecting your privacy.
The short version: Qlooq does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything happens locally on your Mac.
Qlooq collects absolutely no personal data. There are no accounts, no registration, no forms, and no data stored anywhere outside your Mac. We have no servers and no database.
When you preview a file, macOS grants the extension read-only access to that single file. Qlooq:
Qlooq has no network access whatsoever. The extension runs entirely offline within the macOS sandbox. It cannot connect to the internet, send data to remote servers, or download any content.
Qlooq does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or libraries that collect data. There are no advertising frameworks, no social media trackers, and no external analytics tools.
Qlooq itself does not include any analytics or telemetry. If you have opted in to Apple's optional diagnostics sharing (in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may collect anonymized crash reports. This is controlled entirely by you through macOS settings and is not something Qlooq initiates or has access to.
Because Qlooq collects no data at all, it is safe for users of all ages. There is no content, accounts, or tracking of any kind.
If we ever update this privacy policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Since Qlooq does not collect contact information, we encourage you to review this page periodically.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, you can reach the developer through the GitHub Issues page.
